Through various works which they can handle and pray with, children become familiar with the historical and geographical setting of the Gospels: here, the City of Jerusalem is introduced.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is a Montessori-based method of religious instruction which takes place in the beautiful Atrium at Saint Saviour’s. Sessions are offered by one of the sisters certified in the method. The presentations and works on offer are those to which children have responded with depth and joy. These themes are taken from Scripture and from the liturgy (prayer and sacraments) as the foundational sources for sustaining our Christian life at each stage of development, are directed towards nourishing the child’s deep desire and need for God.

Classes are currently underway and take place every Tuesday afternoon and every other Sunday for Levels I (3-6 year olds), II (6-9 year olds), and III (10-12 year olds). Please direct enquiries to Sister Caitríona at stsavioursdominican@gmail.com
